Escola Pública de Mobilidade Porto Alegre/RS Nossos Programas ABOUT US Education for Mobility is one of the three pillars of the EPTC that involves all employees, from the traffic agent to the technical, administrative, operational staff, in short, many teams committed to maintaining and constantly improving circulation conditions in the city. Among these teams, there is a sector specifically qualified to deal with the planning, development and execution of educational programs and projects aimed at different audiences, using languages suitable for age groups and covering different segments of society. Public School for Mobility (EPM) established by Decree 20,829 of December 3, 2020 in the Municipality of Porto Alegre qualifies traffic education, having as the main guidelines of the Public School the development of social interaction in the public space and the promotion of principles equity, ethics and empathy, for a better understanding of the transport and mobility system. Emphasis will also be placed on safety and the environment. Among its competences is the promotion and encouragement, with the population, of inclusion and awareness for mobility education; administer the activities and management of the staff under its responsibility; plan, coordinate, develop and evaluate activities and projects related to education for mobility; define target audience, themes, establish curricula, syllabus and assessment systems to be developed in line with the objectives and guidelines of the National Traffic Policy; perform on-site or virtual courses, as established in traffic education plans and programs of the Public Transport and Circulation Company (EPTC).
